Disney’s Christmas Carol Train Tour – FREE

9 am – 7 pm @ Santa Fe Depot, Santa Fe

Want to see snow in June?  Come see snow and carolers and morph your face into characters from the new Disney Christmas Carol movie that will come out in November.  The Disney train will be in town during a free tour to help promote the movie.  See a sneak peek of the film inside their digital 3-D theater.  Show your kids original artifacts from the Charles Dickens museum in London, England.  The Santa Fe Depot is located at 410 Guadalupe Street in the city of Santa Fe.  Contact: Disney.go.com

FREE Museum Admission

On the first Wednesday of every month, admission is free all day long at the museum.  General admission is also free until 1 pm every Sunday.  The museum is located at 2000 Mountain Rd NW (Mountain & 19th Street).  These free days are year round.  Contact: 243-7255.

Republican Acupuncture office open – FREE foot exam

The Westside Family Acupuncture office will see patients today.  Through June 11th, free examinations for heel pain and foot pain issues will be given by appointment whether during the week or for this Saturday availability.  A foot treatment is optional for only $20 as a one-time special.  Appointments for all other issues are also welcome.  Most insurance accepted or pay at time of service for $57 plus tax (or less for military).  Westside Family Acupuncture is located at the corner of Coors and Dellyne, one block south of Montano (across the parking lot from the Domino’s).  Contact: 897-6560   

 

FREE Children’s "how-to" Workshops

9 am – Noon @ every Home Depot

These free kids workshops are designed for those 5 to 12 in age (accompanied by an adult).  Pre-fabricated kits are provided that include such projects as building a toolbox, bughouse, fire truck, birdhouse or mail organizer.  They even have a kit for building a ‘Declaration of Independence’ frame.  In addition, each child receives a kid-sized orange apron and an achievement pin.  The ‘how-to’ clinics are offered on the first Saturday of each month all year.  Contact: your local Home Depot or customercare@homedepot.com

 

Kid’s Fun Fest – FREE

Noon – 6 pm @ Hinkle Family Fun Center

Admission is free and prizes and games will abound at this celebration of good character.  Over 40 fantastic displays will be up for an expo for all ages.  Hinkle Family Fun Center is located at the NW corner or Tramway & Indian School.  Contact: 299-3100

 

Republican Club 66 – FREE

4 pm – 7 pm @ the Rockwell Home

The Albuquerque Federated Republican Women invite you to Club 66.  This is a social networking sub-group of the AFRW, open to men and women.  Friends are welcome to join us for fine wine, good cheese and very interesting conversation.  Many of our state legislators and candidates will be in the mix.  Our 1st Congressional District First Vice Chairman, John Rockwell, has opened up his home for this at 7909 Merissa Lane NE.  RSVP immediately.  Contact Marianne Chiffelle at 256-1857

 

FREE Fishing Day – NO LICENSE needed

Sunrise to Sunset @ Tingley Beach

For today only, no license is required to go fishing.  It is National FREE Fishing Day today and there are many other locations that will not require any license.  Tinlgey Beach is one of them, located in Old Town across the street from the Aquarium.  Contact: 248-8514
